Marples Mortice and Marking Gauge
A fine rosewood mortice gauge, built to exceptionally high standards,
with no expense spared featuring: combined mortice and marking pins,
marking pins are hardened for accuracy and years of use, a 3mm thick
brass face, solid rosewood body, thumbscrew adjuster for fine and
precise adjustment of the mortice pins, brass knurled thumbscrew
allowing locking of the stock, operating on a protective brass pressure
pad.
This nicely engineered tool is modelled on early high quality Marples
Trial Range 1 mortice gauge designs made over 70 years ago. This
models pleasing on the eye and even more so in use. |
