Ashton Rip Saw Ref: MISC1030 A rip saw marked to blade A. Ashton & Sons Ltd, warranted cast steel, established 1848, trade mark, extra best quality, Sheffield England. Handle has four brass split nut screws, the medallion is marked Warranted Superior. Two of the split nut screws have been replaced, the screws do not fit the handle properly with gaps around the outside of the screws. Beech handles is marked with the previous woodworkers name stamp. Retains a good length blade, has some black staining and a couple of minor pitting marks. TPI: 5 Blade length: 655mm (25" approx) Manufacturer: A.
