A dovetailed shoulder plane with rosewood infills made by Spier Ayr. Blades marked Marples & Son. This plane has been fitted with a good replacement wedge. Top of infill and rear end of plane are marked with the previous woodworkers name stamp. Steel body is marked with a number of light dents and scratches. Mouth of plane has been slightly rounded.

A fine mouth shoulder plane with rosewood infills and wedge made by Edward Preston. The rear of the plane body is marked with the Edward Preston and Sons trademark. Blade is marked Preston EP Trade Mark. The blade has been extended where a previous user has professionally added/welded a section of blade (see photo).Infills and wedge are marked with the previous woodworkers name stamps. Sides and sole of plane are marked with scratches, marks and dents (as expected with a plane of this age).

Steel rebate plane with mahogany infill and beech wedge. Side of body has three drill hole marks and one empty screw hole. Body has some scratching and a few patches of pitting.

Steel bullnose woodworking plane, cutter is marked Holland London, has a small amout of cutter remaining . The wedge has had a solid previous repair, hard to notice. The rear of the plane has a number of dents and lacks its rear button. Body and cutter has some speckling of minor pitting. Mouth of plane has been very slightly rounded close to the corners.

An old shoulder plane with rosewood infill and wedge, has a E. Preston & Sons cutter that has a slot down the centre of the cutter. Rear of plane has a number of dents, rear screw is now flat nearly flush with the plane where it has been hit. Body is marked with some speckling of minor pitting / staining. This woodworking shoulder plane has a fine mouth, slightly rounded at one corner.

Little Norris Bullnose plane no. 25 with rosewood wedge. Retains a near full length cutter marked Norris London, cutter is also marked a patch of pitting, retains rear screw. This old Norris bullnose plane has some light scratching and a number of visible dents. All parts original, blade wedge and body are all marked ‘9’.

A fine mouth brass shoulder plane with steel sole made by Slater. Rear end of plane is marked H. Slater Maker Meredith St Clerkenwell London. Plane iron is marked Wm Marples & Son Cast Steel. Has some marks and dents to brass body and infills. A lovely old plane with rosewood infills.

Dovetailed shoulder plane made by Buck 242 Tottenham Ct Rd. Has a replacement Record blade. This old plane has had a lot of use with a number of dents to body, has damaged rear screw (see photo), and the wedge is marked with bruising and dents.

Bullnose rabbet plane no. 1366 with rosewood wedge. Retains a good length Preston cutter. The nose of the plane / front section of sole has been ground by the previous woodworker so the very front section of the plane no longer sits flat on the surface, there is a 1 – 1.5mm gap. This old Preston bullnose woodworking plane retains little of the original finish.

An old shoulder plane with rosewood infills and wedge made by H. Slater Maker Meredith St Clarkenwell London. The shoulder plane has a good length cutter marked W. Marples & Sons Cast Steel. Outer body is in good condition with some very minor dents, good sole with a fine mouth free from chips. Wedge and infill are marked with the previous users name stamp.
