Disston Philadelphia D8 Crosscut Saw Ref: MISC1110 Apple wood handled D8 crosscut saw made by Disston. Handle is fitted with 5 brass buttons, the medallion is marked Disston USA. Handle retains little of the original lacquer and is marked with the previous woodworkers name stamps, also marked with a number of dents and a large chip to top spur (see photo). Blade is marked "Henry Disston & Sons Established 1840, Pat June 23rd 1874, D8 Philadelphia USA. For beauty, finish and utility this saw cannot be excelled.. Henry Disston". Blade is marked with minor speckles of staining and a small number of minor pitting marks. Requires sharpening.
