An old beech handled hand drill no. 7 made in USA by Millers Falls.

A nickel plated no. 59 dowelling jig made by Stanley. Includes 4 drill bushes: 1/2", 7/16", 5/16" and 1/4". Dowelling jig retains an estimate 98% of its finish and comes with the original Stanley box (worn box).

2 gimlets made with boxwood and apple wood handles. Both gimlets are marked with black staining the longer gimlet has a number of pitting marks. These old tools measure from 135mm up to 185mm

Collection of drill bits that includes 8 auger bits and 3 centre bits.

Scotch brace by Howarth Sheffield. Small chip to side of head, turning on head by ring has wear. Body is marked with staining and pitting.

A beech handled Archimedes drill that measures 298mm long overall.

Boxwood tool handle made with a steel knurled screw one end of the handle to lock drill bits in place. Handle has a 30mm long shake in the wood.

Two beech handled Archimedes drills with brass fittings. These Archimedes tools measure from 250mm up to 290mm long overall.

A beech handled bung borer marked Wm Marples & Sons Sheffield Eng 1. Overall Length 135mm.

Gimlet with ivory handle, has a hardwood section on top of the handle, ends of ivory handle has turned decoration, some movement on the handle.

An old drill brace that appears to have a lignum handle, which has a crack at the base of the handle.

Beech handled taper bit made by I & H. Handle is marked with previous woodworkers name stamps and 30mm long hairline cracks.

A fine dowelling jig no. M148 made by Marples, complete with jig cramp, 16 drill bushes, standard arms and long arms, Record operating instructions booklet and the original Record box (box is misshapen and showing signs of wear).

A boxed set of 13 auger drill bits made by Gilpin, Cannock. Includes original Oak box that is marked Wm Gilpin Senr& Co (Tools) Ltd, Cannock England. Box has 2 replacement pins on the locking catch. Auger bits include:
1 x 1", 1 x 15/16", 1 x 7/8", 1 x 13/16", 1 x 3/4", 1 x 11/16", 1 x 5/8", 1 x 9/16", 1 x 1/2", 1 x 7/16", 1 x 3/8", 1 x 5/16" and 1 x 1/4". There is some light speckles of staining to some of the auger bits. A nice old set with original hardwood box.

Rosewood handled Millers Falls hand drill no. 5. Handle has a compartment in the handle that can hold drill bits. Has loss of nickel to metal parts. Jaws are not spring loaded, sold as a collectable / display item.

An old corner / joist ratchet brace with beech handles made by Skinner.

Collection of double helix auger bits, 8 of which are marked Russell Jennings no. 100 RJ Stanley 100 Plus, made in England, the ninth auger bit is marked 'Russell Jennings'. Collection includes:
1 x 16/16", 1 x 12/16", 1 x 3/4", 1 x 10/16, 1 x 8/16", 1 x 7/16", 1 x 6/16", 1 x 5/16" and 1 x 4/16".
A couple of the auger bits are marked with some light staining.

A dowel sharpener / shaver made by Stanley. This tool is designed to shave or trim rapidly the end of a dowel. This old tool retains an estimated 70% of its finish. This old tool dates from 1900's to the 1950's

A corner ratchet brace with plastic handles made by Stanley marked 02-716. Top handle has a 30mm long chip to the edge of the handle otherwise in very good condition.

A fine boxed set of 13 double helix auger drill bits made by C. E Jennings & Co also marked no. 10.

A dowel sharpener / shaver made by Ridgway. This tool is designed to shave or trim rapidly the end of a dowel.
