13 Higgs Hollow and Round Planes Ref: PL3200 A collection of 13 hollow and round planes made by Higgs. These old woodworking planes retain good length cutters. Collection includes the following planes: 1 x 18H, 18R, 1 x 17H, 17R, 1x 16H, 16R, 1 x 15H, 15R, 1 x 13H, 13R, the 13 round plane is discoloured appearing much darker than the other planes. 1 x 12R, 1 x 10H, this hollow plane has been sanded clean by previous woodworker. 1 x 7H. This collection of hollow and round planes are in very good condition a couple of the smaller planes have some minor dents through use otherwise all other planes are in very good condition. The majority of planes are marked with 2 previous woodworkers user stamps to front ends of the planes. We believe these woodworking planes dates from around the late 1700's to late 1820's. We believe 13 planes are made made by higgs, they came from the same tool chest however some of the makers names have been rubbed off.
