SOLD -  16 Lead Workers Tools

Collection of 16 lead workers tools, collection includes:

4 x lignum bobbins, largest measure 105mm long by 100mm wide.
2 x bobbin type tools, one is made from metal with holes through the centre, the other is made from boxwood marked Monument Brand and is hollowed out inside, the hole gradually get narrower.
2 x lignum turnpins, one has a large crack down the length of the turnpin
2 x dressers / lead beaters one made from boxwood the other beech, largest of these two lead beaters measures 325mm long overall.
3 x boxwood mandrills all marked Monument Brand, the large measure 205mm long and the smallest 141mm long overall.
2 x bossing mallets with lignum heads, handles are made from bamboo and boxwood. The largest mallet measures 130mm across length of head, the smallest bossing mallet measures 110mm across length of head.
1 x brass scribing plate marked Monument.

The majority of these leadworkers tools are in very good condition, the dresser tools and bossing mallets have some marks and dents through use.

Collection of 16 leadworkers tools, tools include:

1 x 100mm wide by 210mm long boxwood chase wedge with brass ferule, has a chip and shrinkage cracks,
4 x lignum bobbins, largest measure 60mm long
2 x dressers / lead beaters one made from boxwood the other possibly walnut, largest of these two lead beaters measures 356mm long overall.
2 x boxwood and lignum turnpins,
2 x mandrills, one made from boxwood and marked Marples Sheffield Eng the other is made from oak,
4 x bossing mallets, with boxwood and lignum heads, handles are made from bamboo, beech and ash. The largest mallet measures 132mm across length of head and has some large shrinkage cracks, the smallest bossing mallet measures 80mm across length of head.
1 x boxwood mallet with square ends.

These old leadworkers tools have a number of marks, dents and chips through use.
