Moseley Goswell Street Quirk Ogee Planes Ref: PL3193 Two scarce quirk ogee planes made by Moseley, Goswell Street. Rears of smaller quirk ogee is marked 3/8 the large plane 3/4. Both planes have a boxwood strip to sole and near full length plane irons. Front ends of planes are marked with the previous woodworkers name stamps, marks and dents through use, discolouration to bodies and around half a dozen old treated worm holes to each plane. The larger Moseley quirk ogee has a small chip from the boxwood strip on the sole. We believe these scarce planes date from around the 1820's to 1840's.
