Beech handled smoothing plane no 4 1/2 made in England by Stanley Bailey. Retains a near full length cutting iron marked Stanley made in England. Handles have some loss of lacquer mainly to front knob. Body maintains an estimated 90%+ of its black japanning. Face plate has some loss of nickel. Sides and sole retain the original machine markings. Sole is marked with some light scratches and a single deeper scratch that can be felt when running you hand over the sole of the plane.

Ash handled bevel edge paring chisel made by Wm Marples. Blade is marked with 5 dents to long edge of blade, some minor speckling of pitting mainly to bevel edge side and black staining.

2 boxwood handled firmer gouges with slender blades, includes:
1 x 13mm wide in-cannel gouge by Ward,
1 x 11mm wide in-cannel gouge by Hildick.

Both gouges are marked with a number of marks, dents and previous woodworkers name stamps to handle and minor speckles of pitting and staining to blade. These woodworking gouges measure from 242mm up to 252mm long overall.

A 33ft leather cased tape measure marked John Rabone & Sons Hockley Abbey made in England. Brass winder is marked 33ft no. 250, . The cloth tape itself is clean, clearly readable and marked out in inches and feet to face and links to reverse side. Edges of leather case has some loss of leather.

Buck and Hickman Thumb Hole Crosscut Saw
Beech handled thumb hole cross cut saw made by Buck & Hickman. Blade is marked by Buck & Hickman Ltd, Whitechapel London, Warranted Cast Steel. Blade is marked with some minor speckles of staining and pitting. Handle is fitted with 5 brass buttons, 1 button has been replaced and is slightly oversize. Handle is marked with the previous woodworker's name stamps. Good sharp blade.
