Brass mitre template made by Edward Preston & Sons. This old mitre template has some marks and saw cuts to edges plus a faint user name stamp.

An old pair of winding sticks made from oak with boxwood inserts. Winding sticks are marked with the previous craftsman's name.

A sliding calliper with a surface and height gauge that comes complete with the original wooden box. Rule is marked out in mille metres and inches to reverse side up to 10 inches long.

A small set of brass scales with a hardwood base. Scales are marked made in England Warranted accurate. Includes 6 brass weights: 8oz, 4oz, 2oz, 1oz, 1/2oz and 1/2oz. Rectangular holding plate measures 95mm by 76mm.

Two screw plates marked A. Mathieson & Son. These old tools have some pitting mainly on the larger tool. The smaller screw plate measures 245mm (9 5/8”) long and the larger screw plate measures 303mm (11 7/8”).

Three old screw plates, includes two boxwood handled screw plates with brass tops and ferules both marked RL along with the ministry arrow and measure 194mm long overall and the 145mm long overall. The unhandled screw plate is marked 9BA this little tool measures 76mm long overall.

A pair of beech gothic templates single and double, both of which are marked A.Mathieson & Son Glasgow & Edinburgh. There’s also a square template that is unmarked but we also believe this to be made by the same maker Alex Mathieson.

Depth gauge made by Starrett marked The L.S. Starrett Co Ltd, Great Britain no. 440. Includes 5 rods and comes in the original Starrett mahogany box.

Also included are some extra Starrett parts, which are possibly parts for a different Starrett tool as the rods are very slightly thicker, reflected in price.

A 20 inch vernier height gauge no. 369 made by Chesterman. This tool has a large solid base which helps to stop tilting due to its forward position. This height gauge is in excellent condition complete with accessories and the original wooden case.
