Rabone no. 1246 Folding Rule Ref: MI806 Architects folding boxwood rule no. 1246 made by J. Rabone & Sons, Birmingham, England. This old rule has a slide out brass rule marked out in inches. Rule is bevelled on one side. Rule is marked out in inches to both sides, also marked ‘8 Square’ & ‘Line’, also marked with angled measurements to hinge which is also marked with the previous user’s initials. Retains one of two locating pins. Slightly misaligned when in the closed position. The recess where the brass rule sits has had a fine shaving taken off the edge by the previous woodworker.
