Record Jointer, Fore and Jack Planes

A stained beech handled stay set fore plane no. 06 made by Record. Retains a good length Record Tungsten steel best crucible cast plane iron. Handles have some loss of lacquer (see photos). Sides and sole are marked with some small amount of minor pitting and staining spots. This stay set bench plane retains an estimated 90-92% of its finish.

Beech handled fore plane no. 06 made by Record. Has a near full length Record tungsten steel best crucible cast cutter. Handles have loss of lacquer. Face plate has slight of nickel plating. Sole is marked with spots of black staining and a small amount of minor pitting. Inner body maintains an estimated 90% of its japanning.

Beech handled jack plane no. 05 made by Record. Retains a near full length Record tungsten steel best crucible cast cutting iron. Body of plane maintains an estimated 80-90% of its japanning. Handles retain very little of the original lacquer. Sides and sole are marked with some light scratching.

Rosewood handled jointer plane no. 08 made by Record. Retains a good length Record tungsten steel, best crucible cast cutter. Sides and sole have some minor spots of pitting and some light scratches. This earlier Record jointer plane maintains an estimated 85%+ japanning, rear handle retains the Record trade label.

Rosewood handled T5 technical jack plane with rosewood side handle. Retains a good length tungsten steel best crucible cast cutter. Body maintains an estimated 90% of its japanning, outer body is marked with a few mainly minor marks and dents. Rear handle retains original Record trade label.

Beech handled T5 jack plane. This woodworking plane retains a good length Record tungsten vanadium steel cutter. Has a good replacement side handle. Sides and sole retain the original machine marks. Retains original Record trade label and an estimated 90-95% of its finish.

Rosewood handled stay-set jointer plane no. 07SS made by Record. Retains a good length Record best crucible cast, tungsten steel cutter. Handles are faintly marked with previous woodworker's initials, side of plane is also marked with the previous woodworkers name stamp (see photo). The original machine marks are faintly visible to the sides and sole of the plane, also marked with some marks and minor pitting. Inner body maintains an estimated 90% of its japanning.

Fore plane no. 06 made by Record. Cutter is marked 'Genuine Record Tungsten Vanadium steel'. Handles have some loss of lacquer (see photos), rear handle is made from beech, has a replacement rosewood knob. Outer body is marked with some minor speckling of pitting and staining. One side of plane is marked with the previous woodworkers name stamp. Inner body maintains an estimated 95% of its japanning.

Rosewood handled jointer plane no. 07 made by Record. Retains a near full length Record Best crucible cast, tungsten steel cutter. Rear handle is marked with the previous woodworkers name stamp, top of handle retains the original Record trade label. Face plate has slight bubbling of nickel. Sides and sole of plane are marked with some speckling of black staining. Inner body maintains an estimated 95% of its japanning, good smooth sole.

Beech handled jack plane no. 05 by Record. Cutter is marked Record best crucible cast tungsten steel. Retains an estimated 90 of its finish. Retains original machine marks to outer body. Has some light speckling of pitting to sole.

A more recent, very little used 24 inch beech handled jointer plane no. 08 made by Record. Retains a full length Record tungsten vanadium steel cutter. Retains the original machine marks to sides and sole of the plane along with the original protective coating. This Record jointer is in excellent condition and has seen very little use still retaining 99% of its finish, Record trade label and box (has a tear to box).

Beech handled T5 jack plane, lacks side handle. This woodworking plane retains a good length Record best crucible cast tungsten steel cutter. Has a replacement screw on the rear handle (the smaller of the two screws). Outer body of this T5 woodworking planes has some denting and a couple of small scratches. Inner body maintains an estimated 90-95% of its japanning.
