This Record multi plane we believe to be a war model made without the use of nickel plating, previous woodworker has sprayed the plane silver which has been well done and will help to protect the plane. | A fine Record Calvert Stevens bench plane CS88. This limited edition heavy duty plane has a gun metal lever cap combines with the stay-set cap iron. Plane iron has a hardened cutting edge to provide razor sharp accuracy lasting 8 times longer than conventional irons, this is mounted on a precision machined frog. The Norris type cutter adjustment allows micrometer sensitivity for depth of cut and easy alignment. The whole assembly is mounted on a body cast from fine grey iron. |
