Tape Measures

Leather cased tape measure made by Chesterman, brass winder is marked 10M. Leather case is showing signs of wear with loss of leather to the edges of the tap and the underside of the tape measure is marked with the previous users initials OCS. The cloth tape itself is clean and clearly readable, marked out in feet and inches to face and metres to reverse side.

Leather cased tape measure marked Hockley Abbey John Rabone & Sons, made in England, brass winder is marked 100ft no. 260. The cloth tape itself is marked out in feet and inches to face and links to reverse side of tape.

A leather cased measuring tape marked to leather case Chesterman Treble, made in Sheffield England. Brass winder is marked 66ft. The flexible tape itself is marked out in feet inches and reverse side is marked out in metres.

Leather cased tape measure made by Chesterman, brass winder is marked 100ft. the leather case is marked with the previous users name Lilly, underside of tape has a sizeable patch of light brown staining. The cloth tape itself is marked out in feet and inches to face and links to reverse side. The red section of the tape as seen in the photograph has come loose from the tape, does not effect the use of the tape in any way.

A 40ft leather cased measuring tape marked Chesterman Sheffield England. The fabric tape itself is marked out in inches and feet to the face and links to reverse side.

A leather cased tape measure marked Treble no. 1534, England. Case is in good condition has a few light marks / scratches. The fabric tape itself is marked out in feet and inches, has a small tare at 11" mark of the tape.

An old bakelite tape measure marked to case Chesterman Sheffield England, brass winder is marked 100ft. The steel tape itself is marked out in feet and inches to front, reverse is marked with some staining / rust marks.

A fine old leather cased measuring tape marked John Rabone & Sons Birmingham England, brass winder is marked 33ft, no. 4181. The steel tape itself is clean and clearly readable, marked out in feet and inches. The tape is a little stiff when widind the tape in. This old collectable leather cased tape measure includes the original leaflet and box (box is in a poor condition with tares to one side of lid and bottom of box).

An old leather cased tape measure marked Chesterman Sheffield England Treble no. 1535, brass winder is marked 33ft. The fabric tape itself is clean in very good condition, clearly readable, marked out in feet and inches to face, reverse side is marked Chesterman metallic Treble England 53.
