I & H Sorby Turning Tools
Two old turning tools made by I & H Sorby, includes:
1 x 38mm skew chisel with beech handle that has a 70 mm long crack, has some speckling of staining to blade and some minor speckles of pitting.
1 x 15mm turning gouge with beech handle, blade is marked with some speckling of pitting and black staining.

4 turning tools, includes:
1 x 18mm wide round side cutting scraper,
1 x 13mm wide skew chisel,
1 x 13mm wide skew chisel,
1 x vee tool by Wadkin Ltd Leicester with ash handle.

Collection of three beech handled turning tools made by Ward, turning tools include:
1 x 32mm wide skew chisel, marked with logo of an anvil and W P. Blade is marked with some slight staining and some very minor speckles of pitting.
1 x 15mm wide turning gouge, blade has some minor speckling of pitting/ staining. Handle has two 18mm long cracks and a chip to top of handle.
1 x 10mm skew chisel bevelled on both sides, lacks ferule, blade has some speckling of staining and some very minor speckles of pitting.

These Ward turning tools measure from 298mm up to 428mm long overall.

3 beading and parting turning tools made by Henry Taylor, collection includes:
1 x 12mm by 5mm beading and parting tool with beech handle, blade is marked with patches of pitting, has a crack to the brass ferule and staining to underside of handle.
1 x 9mm by 8mm beading and parting tool with beech handle, has denting to brass ferule and some loss of finish to handle.
1 x 12mm by 6mm beading and parting tool, (smallest turning tool).

These Henry Taylor woodturning tools measure from 286mm up to 450mm long overall.

Two old beech handled turning tools made by W. Butcher also marked with an arrow, owl and a cross. Tools include:

1 x 32mm wide skew chisel, length of blade is marked with speckling of black staining and some very minor speckles of pitting.
1 x 29mm wide turning gouge, has a 85mm long crack to handle.

These collectable tools measure from 470mm up to 528mm long overall.

A collection of 8 turning tools many of the tools are unnamed, collection includes
1 x 20mm wide turning gouge by W. Marpless with ash handle. 1 x 11m wide turning gouge with beech handle, handle has a couple of old treated worm holes and two short cracks 10mm long. Has some staining and pitting down the blade.
1 x 8mm wide turning gouge with ash handle, blade is marked with patches of heavy pitting. Blade is off centre of the handle. 1 x 6mm turning gouge with beech handle. Has grazing / chips to top end of handle.
1 x 8mm superflute turning gouge with beech handle,1 x 16mm by 4mm parting tool with beech handle,
1 x 12mm wide parting tool by Marples with ash handle,1 x 6mm wide round nose scraper with beech handle.
Handles are marked with some denting through use. These woodturning tools and gouges measure from 332mm up to 418mm long overall.

Collection of 5 turning tools made by Sorby, includes the following turning tools:
1 x 28mm wide skew chisel by Robert Sorby with beech handle. This tool has a large patch of heavy pitting halfway down the blade and 3 smaller patches of pitting. Handle is marked with some staining.
1 x 20mm wide round nose scraper by I. Sorby. Blade is slightly off centre of the beech handle. Blade is marked with speckling of pitting close to the handle.
1 x 1 x 20mm wide round nose scraper by I. Sorby, blade is marked with speckling of pitting, heavy close to handle. Beech handle has a 40mm long crack.
1 x 7mm wide turning gouge with beech handle by Robert Sorby.
1 x 10mm wide turning gouge by I. Sorby Sheffield, fitted with a boxwood handle, blade is angled down slightly from the handle.

A set of 8 HSS turning tools made by Ashley Iles with beech handles and brass ferules. Collection includes:

1 x 19mm roughing gouge,
1 x 5mm turning gouge,
1 x 8mm spindle type gouge,
1 x 13mm skew chisel,
1 x 25mm skew chisel,
1 x 5mm x 12mm beading tool,
1 x 25mm square end scraper,
1 x 19mm round nose scraper.

These wood turning tools are all in very good condition and still retain the original trade labels to handles and box (box is in very poor condition with a tear to one side). These turning tools measure from 367mm up to 433mm long overall.

1 x 29mm turning gouge,
1 x 12mm spindle turning gouge, blade is angled slightly to the right,
1 x 8mm turning gouge,
1 x 13mm by 6mm beading and parting tool.

These Sorby wood turning tools and chisels measure from 348mm up to 468mm long overall.

Beech handled turning tools made by W. Marples. Collection includes:
1 x 28mm wide spindle gouge,
1 x 26mm wide square end chisel,
1 x 16mm skew chisel,
1 x 6mm turning gouge.

These Marples wood turning tools have some dents to handles through use and slight staining to blades. A nice collection that measure from 398mm up to 535mm (21").
