Norris A5 Smoothing Plane Ref: PL3033 Coffin shaped A5 smoothing plane made by Norris of London with ebonised beech infills. Retains good length cutting iron marked Norris London to front side and Robt Sorby to the rear. Lever cap and brass knurled blade adjusting knob is also marked Norris London. Sides of rear wood infill are marked with the previous woodworkers name stamp. Sides and sole are marked with some light marks and scratches. A lovely old Norris plane that retains part of the original machine marks to sides and an estimated 90% of its ebonised finish to handles.
