	SOLD Rabone Rope Gauge Boxwood rope gauge by J.Rabone & Sons, made in England, no 1206. Front is marked Breaking loads in tons, galvanised hawser steel ropes. Back is marked 3 strand, weight per 120 Fathom coil. Manila, tarred hemp, Manila 3 strand, Manila Cable Laid. Measures 4 5/8" (117mm) long overall when closed by 1 13/16" (41mm) wide. The brass top has a very slight bend.
