Coffin Shaped Smoothing Plane
An old dovetailed coffin shaped smoothing plane with hardwood Infills, cutting irons marked Warranted I.Sorby Cast Steel Sheffield and has roughly 1” (25mm) of blade left to the slot. The plane iron cap is marked Ward Solid Steel Warranted. This old woodworking plane has some wear due to its old age, front and rear buns have previous users name stamp, the front bun also has a small crack 18mm long. The body of the plane has some light pitting/ staining, lever cap has a few minor dents. This old dovetailed smoothing plane measures 189mm (7 7/16”) long by 66mm (2 5/8”) wide.
