	Brass Smoothing Plane An old brass smoothing plane with mahogany infills, parallel cutting irons marked I & H Sorby, blade covers marked Wm Marples & Sons. The sides of the planes body has a number of casting marks/ dents. The rear infills believed to be a replacement and has been fitted in places not flush with the planes body (see photos). The sole of this old woodworking plane measures 173mm long overall by 59mm wide.
