Norris A5 Smoothing Plane
Coffin shaped A5 smoothing plane by Norris with beech handles
that have been professionally re-ebonised. Lever cap, lateral adjuster
and cutting iron are all marked Norris London, the blade is also
marked Robt Sorby Sheffield England to the reverse side of the blade.
There is also some heavy pitting to the blade, this won't effect
the planes use as the pitting is above the slot, with the main face
of the blade clean and free of any staining or pitting. The body
is also marked with a few light patches of pitting. A collectable
Norris Smoothing Plane in good working order.
