ITEM DESCRIPTION

SOLD Scottish Iron Panel Plane

A heavy 13” Scottish iron panel plane with mahogany infill and handle with scrolled wedge behind a shapely brass bridge. Tapered cutting iron’s marked Marples & Sons, Hibernia (blade’s marked with black staining and medium pitting). An old plane that has wear through use. Rear infill has a number of dents, front infill has a hairline crack (see photo), bridge has previous users name, clean smooth sole.
