	SOLD Mathieson Dovetailed Smoothing Plane A steel dovetailed smoothing plane with rosewood infills faintly marked to front infill Mathieson & Son Glasgow. Retains a good length parallel iron marked Alex Mthieson & Son, Warranted Cast Steel, iron cover’s also marked Alex Mathieson. This old plane has the usual wear through use with minor dents to rear handle and lever cap. The steel body also has a number of dents, scratches and a patch of light pitting (see photos).
