SOLD Pattern Makers Plane
A brass and mahogany pattern makers plane that includes seven bases and four cutter (missing three cutters), all four cutters are marked Marples & Sons Hibernia Warranted Cast Steel Sheffield England. The base are marked 1” Rad, 1 1/4", 1 3/4", 2”, 3”, 4” and 6” Rad. A nice old pattern makers plane in very good condition.

SOLD Norris A5 Smoothing Plane
Coffin shaped A5 smoothing plane by Norris. Retains the original good length cutting iron marked Norris London to front side and Robt Sorby to the rear. Cutter has 45mm (1 3/4") to the slot. Lever cap is also marked Norris London along with the brass knurled blade adjusting knob. The body and cutting iron have some minor patches of light pitting / staining. Ebonised infills maintain an estimated 90-95% enamel, main loss is to the top of the front infill, also marked with the previous users name stamp to the front of infill. A fine old A5 smoothing plane in good condition with all parts moving smoothly.

Pattern Makers Plane
A brass bodied pattern makers plane with mahogany infills and beech bases. The plane includes five interchangeable bases marked 1 1/2, 2, 3 and 5. Also includes five cutters two of which are slotted, cutters have a few minor patches of staining/ pitting. The plane itself is in a nice condition free from dents, the rear infill is marked with the previous users name stamp.

Spiers Ayr Dovetailed Shoulder Plane
A shapely dovetailed shoulder plane with rosewood infill and wedge made by Spiers Ayr. The plane’s fitted with a full length snecked unnamed cutting iron. The body has a number of minor dents, this old shoulder plane has a fine mouth 2mm in depth. Infill and wedge are marked with the previous users name stamp. A nice old and collectable Spiers woodworking plane. Plane measures:

Norris Dovetailed Shoulder Plane no 7
A nice dovetailed shoulder plane no 7 by Norris of London, with rosewood wedged and infill. Retains a good length snecked cutting iron. Body, wedge and cutter are all marked with the no 1. Rosewood infill and wedge are lightly marked with the previous users name stamp. Body has some very light speckling of pitting/staining, sole of the shoulder plane has clean crisp edges. A nice old Norris woodworking plane in good condition.

Norris Dovetailed Shoulder Plane no 7
A dovetailed shoulder plane with rosewood infills and wedge. Front of the plane’s marked Norris London, 7, Steel. Retains a good length cutting iron also marked Norris London. Rear of body, wedge and blade are all marked with the no 2. Has small chip the wedge. The plane has a number of scratches and minor dents, the mouth of the plane is also slightly rounded (see photo). A nice old dovetailed Norris shoulder.

Mahogany Infill Plane
Parallel smoothing plane with clean mahogany infills and scroll wedge. Retains a good length parallel cutting iron marked W.Marples & Sons Hibernia. Outer body is marked with a number of light dents and some minor black staining. The front infill has a hairline crack running across the inside of the infill.

Retains a near full length parallel plane iron marked Norris London, lever cap and lateral adjuster are also marked Norris London. Infills have loss of the original lacquer. Retains a good length parallel iron marked Alex Mthieson & Son, Warranted Cast Steel, iron cover’s also marked Alex Mathieson. This old plane has the usual wear through use with minor dents to rear handle and lever cap. The steel body also has a number of dents, scratches and a patch of light pitting (see photos).
