An old jointer plane no. 08 made by Record. Retains a good length cutter marked Record Best Crucible cast tungsten steel. Body maintains an estimated 85-90% of its japanning. Sole is marked with a patch of pitting and a couple of scratch marks, also marked with a small but deep pitting mark to one side of the plane. A nice old Record woodworking plane with a good thick sole.

Rear handle has some slight loss of lacquer The original machines marks are still visible to outer body. This Record woodworking plane retains the original Record trade label to rear handle and comes with the leaflet and box (box is worn, faded with tares to each corner of the lid).

An old rosewood handled jack plane no. 5 1/2 made by Stanley. Body is marked Bailey No. 5 1/2 PAT’D MAR-25-02, AUG-19-02, APR-19-10. The cutter has been replaced with a slightly thicker cutter than the Stanley. Body maintains an estimated 80% of japanning. Sides and sole are marked with light scratching and pitting. Handles are marked with a number of dents.

Cutter is marked Stanley New Britain Conn USA, has some denting to top of cutter. Outer body is marked with some black staining/ light pitting. Body maintains an estimated 85-90%. This old woodworking plane has a good thick sole, sides are faintly marked with the original machine marks.
