Sole is marked with a patch of pitting and a couple of scratch marks, also marked with a small but deep pitting mark to one side of the plane. A nice old Record woodworking plane with a good thick sole.

Body maintains an estimated 85% japanning. Slight staining to body, the original machine marks are still visible to the sides and sole.

An old rosewood handled jack plane no. 5 1/2 made by Stanley. Body is marked Bailey No. 5 1/2 PAT’D MAR-25-02, AUG-19-02, APR-19-10. The cutter has been replaced with a slightly thicker cutter than the Stanley. Body maintains an estimated 80% of japanning. Sides and sole are marked with light scratching and pitting. Handles are marked with a number of dents.

Cutter is marked Stanley New Britain Conn USA, has some denting to top of cutter. Outer body is marked with some black staining/ light pitting. Body maintains an estimated 85-90%. This old woodworking plane has a good thick sole, sides are faintly marked with the original machine marks.
