A set of 8 beech beading planes marked to front Baird Gardener St Brighton Warranted. This set includes the following sizes: 1", 7/8", 3/4", 5/8", 1/2", 3/8", 1/4" and 1/8". All 8 woodworking planes are in good condition still with the boxwood beading intact and near full length cutting irons. This collection appears to of had only light use and in the whole are free from dents (the only noticeable damage is to the 3/8" planes wedge that has saw cuts into the top end), other than this a nice clean collection in excellent condition for their age.

A set of five beading planes marked Atkin & Sons Sheddield Works Birmingham. Includes the following sizes: 1/8”, 3/8”, 3/4”, 7/8” and 1”. The 3/8” woodworking plane has a replacement wedge (see photo). Previous user has added is name stamp the front end of the plane. All planes retain good length cutting irons.

A beech transitional smoothing plane, marked to front end Stanley Rule & Level Co no 24. Retains a good length cutter marked Stanley PAT APL 19.92. This old Stanley plane has a number of patches of black staining to the wooden body, there are 6-8 scratches on the sole of the plane and the lever cap has been repainted at some point, reflected in the price.

Beech transitional jack plane marked Sargent VBM No 3415. Retains a good length cutter marked Sargent, New Haven Conn, USA. The sole of plane measures 15" long overall by 2 11/16" wide. A nice old transitional plane in good condition for it's age.

Two beech ogee woodworking planes 1873 - 1904, marked Varvill and Sons, Ebor Works York and Ebor Reg trade mark to front. One marked "5"      "1" to rear the other marked "5"      "2" to rear. Both have previous owners name stamp "h.woolven". One has two holes to running face, look like pin holes could be old worm. The other "5"      "1" has chip out further side of mouth on corner of plane. 9 1.2" O/A.

A nice old wooden jointer plane marked A. Mathieson & Son Glasgow best warranted, maintains a near full length blade also marked Alex Mathieson Warranted Cast steel. The  ends of this old woodworking plane have a few dents plus some minor dents to body, base has some scratching. This Mathieson planes measures 560mm (22") long overall.
