A fine Record Calvert Stevens bench plane CS88. This limited edition heavy duty plane has a gun metal lever cap combines with the stay-set cap iron. Plane iron has a hardened cutting edge to provide razor sharp accuracy lasting 8 times longer than conventional irons, this is mounted on a precision machined frog. The Norris type cutter adjustment allows micrometer sensitivity for depth of cut and easy alignment. The whole assembly is mounted on a body cast from fine grey iron.

For craftsman in wood it is fitting that total comfort and control are assured with matt finish rosewood knob and handle. This rare Calvert Stevens bench plane includes a hardened case with contoured felt lining.

This fine plane has had very little use still maintaining a near full length cutting iron which retains much of the original protective coating. (no leaflet).
