Three ash handled carving tools by Robert Sorby. Includes:
1 x Gouge 19mm (3/4”) wide,
1 x Gouge 10mm (3/8”) wide,
1 x Gouge 3mm (1/8”) wide.
On average these carving tools measure 267mm (10 1/2") long overall. Two of the gouges have the previous users identifying stamp to handle (3 lines). Three nice carving tools that appear to of had very little use.

SOLD Sorby Mortice Chisels
Three boxwood handled mortice chisels marked Robert Sorby, Sheffield
Kangaroo Brand. All have brass ferules and leather washers. Measuring
1 x 7/16" (12mm) wideby 13 ¾" (349mm) long. 1 x
5/16" (8mm) wide by 12 ¾" (324mm) long. 1 x 2/8"
(6mm) wide by 12 1/16" (306mm) long. The smallest Sorby chisel
is very slightly off centre still firmly in placed.

Beech dado woodworking plane marked I. Sorby Sheffield with punch
motif to front and ¼ to rear. Has two small screw holes to
side where fence was previously fixed, otherwise nice clean woodworking

Two Pairs of Old Sheep Shears
Two pairs of old metal sheep shears. Pair on the right is cast
with a crown, "I.H.S", "CAST STEEL" and cast
with the hanging cow symbol on one side and it is cast identicaly
on the other side except the hanging cow is replaced with "I
& H SOR BY". This pair of shears may date back to as
early as 1850.

SOLD Sorby In-cannel Gouges
Three boxwood in-cannel gouges with brass ferules and leather
washers by Sorby. These woodworking gouges measures: 1 x 20mm
(25/32"), 1 x 19mm (3/4") and 1 x12mm (1/2") wide.
These chisels measure on average around 284mm long overall. All
three chisels appear to of had very little use if any..
