SOLD Stanley Compass Plane no 113 (Type 2)
An early compass plane type 2 made by Stanley, front adjuster knobs marked Stanley Rule & Level Co Patented Sept 25, 1877, retains a good length blade marked Stanley PAT APL.18.92. Side of the plane is marked PAT’D June 17.79. The planes body retains an estimated 70% of its black japanning. Has a flexible steel sole which has two patches of pitting, one of which is fairly heavy pitting. This old planes showing signs of its age with some black staining to be expected for this antique plane.
