The saw is fitted with a good decorative shaped Beech hardwood handle.
The first medallion has the markings ‘Georgivs III Dei Gratia’ along with a side profile head, presumably King George III (1760 – 1820).
The second medallion has the markings ‘MBFEI H REX FD B ETLD SRIATETE 788’ (I believe that is what it says), it also has a picture of what I believe is a Royal crest.
Blade Length: 26”
Condition: blade is straight, all teeth present, the tooth at the very front is well worn, teeth have a bit of bite to them but would benefit form a sharpen, blade has a speckling of heavy pitting, blade has tarnishing/black staining, please see photos for condition.
