A substantial old nibbed Fitzwilliam rip saw fitted with a hardwood handle.
The handle has a medallion which says 'Taylor, Sheffield'.
The blade etching on this old saw is marked 'Fitzwilliam, Sheffield, JT&S, Superior'.
This maker is not in the British Saws from 1660 reference book.
