A nice old wooden smoothing plane made by Sims, London which is approximately 200 years old; we believe this plane dates to 1820's - to early 1830's.
The front nose is marked 'Sims, London' and 'R Membery, Tool Merchant, Bath'.
Fitted with a 'Hearnshaw' plane iron.
Condition: sole has some scratches, first couple of mm of cutting face has pitting, please see photos for condition.
