An unusual and very scarce small folding caliper rule made by J Rabone, marked 'Coward Philipson & Co Ltd, Keswick, Bobbin Manufacturers', the side of the rule is marked with the maker mark 'J. Rabone & Sons Makers'.
This rule is marked out in inches up to 12".
The brass sliding caliper rule is marked out in inches on one side and mm on the rear side.
According to archives, Coward Philipson ran from 1867 - 1959.
