An old Disston Philadelphia hand saw, fitted with a finger-hole / thumb-hole design handle which we believe is made from Apple.
This is an early Disston fingerhole saw which we believe dates 1896 - 1917
The medallion is marked 'H Disston & Sons, Philada'.
The blade has a good clear etching for an early version of this saw - this etching is different to later versions.
These saws are getting increasingly hard to find, especially in this condition; we are starting to put up for sale saws we have been holding in our stores for a long time.

Condition: blade is straight, all teeth present, feels sharp but presume probably would benefit from a sharpen, the bottom handle spur has been rounded off along time ago in its history, please see photos for condition.
