A superb example of the Norris A5 coffin shaped smoothing plane. These planes were considered the Rolls Royce of planes. Plane comes with all original parts, a near full length Norris parallel cutting iron. The blade can be finely adjusted with its Norris adjuster which allows micrometer sensitivity for depth of cut and easy alignment. Infills are ebonised with an estimated 95% intact, body retains much of the original machine finish. Comes complete with the original Norris box. Infills are lightly stamped with the previous woodworkers name stamp, base has some minor speckling of pitting / staining.
