An old rare wooden sliding rule (Boxwood).
We believe this old rule is a brewers alcohol proofing rule.
The rule is marked 'Dring & Fage, Makers, 145 Strand, London' and 'Inland Revenue'.
Also marked 'Trade Mark' along with a logo which looks like a crescent moon or halo above a cross or sword.
A really good example.
