A lovely old infill smoothing plane with what looks like Ebony infills and scroll wedge.
The plane is fitted with a Wm. Marples tapered plane iron which is marked with a World War II ministry mark and the date 1942. The cap iron looks like is marked with a maker mark 'Abmton'.
Sole width: 62mm
Sole length: 194mm
Condition: the wedge may need a tiny bit of letting as it is a little fiddly setting the blade, the infills have a few very fine hairline splits, the plane iron corners have been angled/rounded slightly, see photographs for condition.
