A little used Calvert Stevens special edition bench plane made by Record..
Plane iron has a hardened cutting edge to provide razor sharp accuracy lasting 8 times longer than conventional irons, this is mounted on a precision machined frog. The Norris type cutter adjustment allows micrometer sensitivity for depth of cut and easy alignment. The whole assembly is mounted on a body cast from fine grey iron.
For craftsman in wood it is fitting that total comfort and control are assured with matt finish Rosewood knob and handle. This rare Calvert Stevens bench plane includes a hardened case with contoured felt lining.
This special edition plane comes with the original Record box, certification / instructions leaflet, includes the original Calvert Steven stay-set cap iron and cutter.
