An old Record hand drill no. 124, made in England.
The handle on this drill can be repositioned at 90 degrees.
This drill we believe dates to the 1930's.
The handle in the catalogues I have seen from 1935 show it with a hollow handle, I have however seen another two old Record drills with this handle and the Rosewood looking bakelite knob so I am leaning towards this being its original setup and may possibly point to it being an early one. Another little nod is this tool came to us from a long time owner whose very old tools included a Record breast drill, I need to do some further reasearch for a conclusive answer.
Condition: all parts move freely, the handle is possibly a replacement, handle has a 15mm split, please see photos for condition.
