A lovely very old wooden screw stem plough plane made in York by Varvill & Son.
The plane is made from Beech with Boxwood parts.
This plane is in good condition for its age.
This plane dates to about the year 1830 making it nearly 200 years old. 1830 was the last year King George IV was King and when King William IV became king.
A real great tangible piece of history.
Condition: all parts move freely, one of the screw stems has a gouge through part of the screw stem however this doesn't hinder the boxwood screw nut, please see photos for condition.
